Donington Grand Prix Collection

The Donington Grand Prix Collection at Donington circuit near Nottingham is the largest collection of Grand Prix cars in the world. There are five halls with one hundred and fifty exhibits from every era of Grand Prix racing. The collection includes Jim Clark's championship winning Lotus 25, Stirling Moss's Lotus from 1961, every Williams car that competed between 1983 and 1999, a complete collection of Vanwall cars, Ronnie Peterson's six wheel Tyrrell, and the McLaren that Ayrton Senna drove in the 1993 Donington Grand Prix.

Racing cars change quickly and are very resonant of a particular time. For me the real poignancy of seeing these cars is the memories that they can bring back.

Donnington Park was closed in the early part of 2010, following a failed attempt to stage the British Grand Prix. Since then the museum has recovered and is now receiving visitors normally.
