Historic Accommodation In Lincoln: The White Hart

The White Hart The White Hart dates back to the 14th century, and lies in the heart of the medieval city of Lincoln. It sits midway between Lincoln Cathedral and the walls of Lincoln Castle.

The ancient city of Lincoln was the site of a Bronze Age settlement, and in the third century was one of the provincial capitals of Roman Britain. In the Middle Ages it was the center of Lindsey, a famous Anglo-Saxon kingdom. After the Norman conquest, Lincoln grew increasingly important and was known for its cathedral and castle.

The hotel was endowed with its emblem in 1372 when Richard the Second stayed here.

The White Hart is a three star hotel offering food and accommodation of a high standard.
