We use the resources of the UK's leading hotel reservations service to bring you guest reviews, secure bookings and competitive rates for hotels throughout the North West.
As InfoBritain is a site for historical tourism we have created a special list of hotels with particular historic interest. The Beatles in many ways made Liverpool the centre of the musical world in the 1960s. If you are a fan of the Beatles why not stay at the Hard Days Night Hotel, just around the corner from Mathew Street where the Cavern Club once stood. This is a four star hotel themed around the Beatles and the 1960s. We've stayed there ourselves - the photo is of our room - and had a great time.

Willowbeck Lodge near Carlisle in Cumbria is not an historic hotel in itself, being one of the most attractive modern hotels in the north of England. But Willowbeck Lodge is close to Hadrian's wall, where the ruins of a Roman inn can be found at Vindolanda near Haltwhistle. Why not stay in one of the best of northern England's modern five star hotels, and visit the remains of the earliest of Britain's inns?
Willowbeck Lodge is also a good choice for those wishing to visit the Lake District.
