The Angel in Bury St Edmunds is a beautiful Georgian building, on the site of a hotel which has been here since 1452. There have been many famous visitors over the years, including Charles Dickens who stayed at the Angel while he was giving readings of his books at the Athenaeum. He mentioned the hotel in The Pickwick Papers.
